Setup Guide

Up and running
in 10 minutes.

Follow these steps after creating your account. You'll have two years of eBay data loaded and your first reports generating before your coffee gets cold.

⏱ About 10 minutes · No technical knowledge needed
1
First things first
Set your business name
Your business name shows up on every report, PDF export, and AI summary you generate. Set it once and forget it.
1
In the app, click Settings in the left sidebar
2
Under Profile, enter your business name in the "Business name" field
3
Click Save Profile — you'll see a green confirmation
Tip: This is optional — if you leave it blank, the app uses your display name on reports instead.
2
Download from eBay
Get your eBay orders CSV
eBay lets you export your full order history as a CSV file. Here's where to find it.
2
Click Download Report
3
Choose Orders → report type All Orders
4
Date Range: Set it as far back as eBay allows — the maximum is 2 years. This gets you the most complete history possible.
5
Hit Download and save the file to your Downloads folder
Note: The file will be named something like ebay-all-orders-report-YYYY-MM-DD.csv. That's the one you want.
3
While you're there
Download your active listings CSV
While you're in eBay's Reports section, grab your active listings too. Same place, different report type.
2
Click Download Report again
3
This time choose ListingAll Active Listings
4
Hit Download — save to your Downloads folder
Tip: You'll come back here once a month to refresh both files. That's the recommended cadence — it keeps your data current without being a chore.
4
Import to the app
Upload your eBay orders
Now import that orders CSV into the app. This is where it starts getting interesting.
1
In the app, click eBay Orders in the left sidebar
2
Click the green Import eBay Orders CSV button at the top right
3
Select the ebay-all-orders-report-*.csv file from your Downloads folder
4
Wait a moment — you'll see a green success message showing how many orders were imported
Safe to re-import: Already imported before? No problem — the app detects duplicates by order number and only adds new orders each time. You'll never get double-counted data.
5
Almost there
Upload your active listings
Same process — this time for your listings.
1
Click Active Listings in the left sidebar
2
Click Import Active Listings CSV at the top right
3
Select the active listings file from your Downloads folder
What you'll see: After importing, your Active Listings tab shows total inventory value, watchers, listings expiring soon, keyword analysis of your titles, and a condition breakdown — all automatically generated from your real data.
6
You're set
Explore your reports
With orders and listings imported, your data is live. Here's what to look at first.
Dashboard — revenue, net cash, and platform breakdown for the current period
Reports → P&L Statement — your profit and loss for any date range, printable
Reports → Platform Performance — which sales channel is actually worth your time
Reports → Sourcing ROI — how much you're making back per sourcing dollar
eBay Orders → Overview — scroll down to see every order, searchable and sortable
Monthly routine: Come back to eBay's Reports page once a month, download both CSVs again, and re-import. The app merges new data automatically — takes about 2 minutes.

Setup questions

Common things people ask after the first import

My orders imported but revenue looks wrong. What happened? +
Check your date filter at the top of the eBay Orders page — it defaults to "This Year." If you want to see all imported orders, click "All Time." Also note that the eBay Orders revenue is separate from the Income tab — they're tracked independently.
Can I add income from platforms other than eBay? +
Yes. Use the Income tab to add entries manually or import a CSV. The format is: Date, Platform, Description, Category, Amount. Download the template from the Income page to see an example.
How do I add expenses? +
Click Expenses in the left sidebar, then either: click + Add Expense to enter one manually, or use Import CSV to upload a batch. The format is: Date, Receipt#, Description, Category, Account, Amount. Download the template to see examples.
I see "—" instead of item titles on some orders. Is that a bug? +
No — that's correct behavior for multi-item orders from eBay's CSV. When a buyer purchases multiple items in one transaction, eBay includes both individual item rows and a summary row. Reseller's Pro imports only the individual item rows and correctly skips the summary to prevent double-counting.
The Sourcing ROI report shows no data. What do I need to do? +
The Sourcing ROI report uses your expense data. Make sure you've added expenses with categories containing words like "Sourcing", "Inventory", "Cost of Goods", or "Merchandise." If you track sourcing differently, you can rename your expense categories in Settings → Categories to match.
Can I use this on my phone? +
The app works in your phone's browser — just go to resellerspro.app. Full mobile optimization is coming in a future update.
